Although many are loathe to discuss it, succession planning and executive transition are critical topics for all nonprofits.  Whether it's developing an emergency succession plan for an Executive Director who plans to stay in place for many years, planning for a CEO's impending retirement or developing an actionable process for recruiting and onboarding a new organizational leader, nonprofits of all sizes need to make succession planning a part of their regular operations. 

This workshop, facilitated by Graceful Solutions' Michele Hartson, will prepare nonprofit executives and board members to think critically and thoughtfully about how to prepare for both unexpected and expected departures in order to ensure that your nonprofit's mission, staff and clients aren't adversely impacted.  

INIE’s Executive Directors’ Roundtable provides a unique opportunity for E.D.s, CEOs and other nonprofit agency heads to share ideas and resources in a collaborative, confidential environment. Each quarter, a different facilitator will lead a robust discussion on a topic of their choice. Participants will be invited to crowdsource solutions to organizational challenges from amongst the other attendees, as well as raise relevant experiences in order to solicit advice and feedback.
